Finger Paint, Crayons, Tempera, Markers, and Modeling Clay.
This
is an engaging, fun, and interactive program for parents & tots and
preschoolers.
Children will work with a wide range of media and will be
encouraged creative self-expression while focusing on enhancing
imagination and developing fine-motor skills. Each week will feature
different arts and crafts projects using a thematic approach. Small
class sizes with qualified teachers ensure high quality
instruction and plenty of individual attention.

Students will explore the basic
elements of arts: line, shape, texture, colour, value and space through
story illustrations and themes related to their daily lives and close
environment. Using their imagination and learning various techniques
they will create original works of art that communicate thoughts and
feelings.

Oil Pastel, Soft Pastel, Tempera and Scratchboard
Students will be introduced to different media,
styles, and techniques and develop a sense of design, starting with the
basics of composition and colour theory. They will learn how to create
light, volume, and space integrating these elements into the overall
composition with the emphasis on harmony, balance, unity, variety and
contrast. They will
experience the creative, decision-making process and will be encouraged
to express themselves emphasizing experimentation through age related
themes.

Media: Conté, Charcoal, Pencil
Crayons, Oil Pastel, Soft Pastel, Scratchboard Watercolours, and Acrylic.
Students
will discover their own personal style and individual expression while
learning the techniques needed for creating works of art. They will explore the versatility of various drawing
materials and experiment with different painting techniques using
paintbrushes and palette knives. Students will be introduced to the
diversity of styles based on the 19th and 20th
century art movements.
Classes include Drawing, Painting, and Mixed Media. For details refer

Media-

Sculpture: Clay, Plaster of Paris
Drawing
Drawing
is the foundation of almost every form of visual art.
This class is designed for adults wishing to develop their
drawing abilities with graphite, charcoal, conté, chalk pastels, ink, and oil
pastels. Participants will learn to capture the essence of a pose in
figure drawing and the composition of still life settings through
gesture sketches and in-depth study.
Painting
This class will be focusing on
learning painting techniques using paintbrushes and palette knives.
The subject of study will vary according to student interests,
including still-life, landscape, figure and portrait paintings.
For those with previous painting experience the focus will shift
from exploration to refining composition, technique and style.
Duration:
2 hours
Sculpture
This class will
explore the world of sculpture while discussing basic principals and
elements of 3D artwork. Students will be introduced to a diversity of
styles based on famous sculptors of the 19th and 20th century.

Open
Studio
Primarily designed for students and adults who wish to develop
a body of work with the possibility of building a portfolio and/or
exhibiting pieces in the future. A
total of 6 weekly hours of studio time is allotted for those who wish to
use the facility and work at their own pace. Instructors will be
available for guidance and feedback.
Duration: up to 6 weekly hours.

Sessions
are geared towards achieving teacher-set objectives, integrating visual
arts with other academic subjects.
All classes will be carefully correlated to the Ontario Visual
Arts Curriculum. Classes can accommodate up to 30 students per session.
Class size and duration depends on grade level and depth of project.
